Puttenham Priory is a typical Georgian mansion with a beautiful Palladian front and is set in 48 acres of English parkland overlooking the peaceful village of Puttenham.

6 reception rooms, 9 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, staff flat, East Wing 5,500 sq ft office space, 8 car garage block, swimming pool, tennis court, formal gardens with parkland and woodland.

In 1945 my father started work at the Priory as a gardener for the Harcourt family. He worked there for 37 years until 1982. While the house was waiting to be sold we lived in the priory as caretakers for eight months.

CREDITS

All photos of the priory were very kindly supplied by the Photographer Steve Stephens.

Many Thanks Steve.

Please ask first if you would like to use any of the photo's. It is polite to do so.

Below are 2 architect floor plans of the ground and 1st floors. I am not sure of the date but
must be between 1931 and 1946 as one of the rooms is marked Lady Harcourt.
They are in a wooden frame and behind glass so not the best photos. They measure 61cm by
61cm. If anyone knows of any others then I would be interested in them.
